When I read about how he was fired by Google, I assumed he was an overly medicated dude with an active sci-fi imagination. He is obviously clear-headed and articulate. I still believe he was fooled by a clever AI program into thinking it has consciousness. But he cannot just be dismissed as a nutcase.
