Right but a wheelchair is a wheelchair, AI is like having a custom made track to get you to the store and back and not much choice from you as an individual, instead counting on, to stick to my example, something like the most traversed paths on average like how an AI makes an average estimation of the images or text you're asking for. I'm personally of the opinion and I've said it a bunch in different people's comments, that AI isn't a product or tool at all. Imagine in my example that these pre set tracks or whatever functioned completely separately from the main train lines. Why? Do we need to substitute what everyone else is using for some facade of convenience that's presumed about you instead of even involving you?
Also why is there so much talk about "use cases" when something like Photoshop or a hammer doesn't need to be sold via individual use cases? Does it matter if I can use my hammer to replace the stick shift in my car when we already know what a hammer is for almost intuitively at this point? How much convincing does either side really need in order to "know how to use" this "tool?" Like let's go back to your own example of a wheelchair vs a car, a wheelchair can be pushed by you or someone else or motors built into it with simple controls, a car involves several forms of input, training an education in traffic laws, a license and in certain situations someone could need a custom vehicle such as needing the gas and brakes as levers near the steering wheel, or extensions for the pedals themselves, like the process becomes so much more complicated Than Just Getting A Chair Or A Hammer, I'm sorry if my rant is a bit abstract by the by I just want to demonstrate that tools tend to come with FUNCTIONS while AI is just used for homework and deception and basically not much else (there's exceptions like mapping the human genome and many other genomes but that's another argument imo cos that's not just GPT or whatever else being used, this was a bespoke AI with a bespoke FUNCTION. An actual, honest to God tool in the way an atomic microscope is.
