AI art… is like a beginner hiker being dropped off at the peak of mount Everest by a helicopter, and then bragging about having stood on top of it to their friends.
Not only is it sapping the process of its difficulty and skill, it’s also taking away the true value. That hiker will never feel the elation of accomplishment, and their achievement will always be hollow. There was never a point for them to stand there, anyways.
I think AI art robs both parties. Definitely artists more, but also those who use it thinking they can become artists. It steals the opportunity for them to experience the joy of creating your own artwork. Their experience will always be devoid of that joy.
