Its case of demand and supply. The more demand on everything that flows through the net, will eventually result in bigger and more data centers. That scrolling TikTok or instagram, or that video game on your phone, guess what, these are the data centers that power those. More consumerism through eCommerce, more reliance on AI tools like ChatGPT etc., will further push these.
