Shit. This is very scary - thanks for the typically pithy & concise video. As a 45 year 2 wheel veteran getting rear ended used to have different if equally worrying implications back in the day - time to revise that. Curiously, pre-retirement I worked in R&D on automotive radar & vision based autocruise. This included fitting systems & acting as the 'rabbit' driving my bike on motorways in traffic to check on target acquisition. This was nearly 20 years ago. The technology was pretty amazing even then. However, this video really worries me, as in 45 years on 2 & 4 wheels I have only missed a bike badly twice whilst driving - not surprising as a biker myself. 25 years ago due to bad road furniture placement & this year whilst overtaking. Without assistance from AI (other than the wife) I saw 2 small, dazzling lights fairly close to the ground about 2 feet apart (scaled) & assumed it to be car approx 1/2 mile away. WRONG. It was a beemer with 2 low mounted dazzling day riding lights. Without headlight on as reference and riding under trees with sun behind & to side, ir was impossible to tell true distance & speed. This was the first time I had encountered a moving light show like this. No harm was done, but I got the finger (deservedly I thought ar 1st) - I would probably have done the same. I was mortified to have this happen for obvious reasons. Then I thought, this was not my fault, there was no way of determining the real distance & speed under those circumstances. This piseed me off.
