Dr Yampolskiy is right. When even Geoffrey Hinton who is considered the “Godfather” of AI has said that he now regrets his life’s work because he fears AI will fall into the hands of bad actors such as Vladimir Putin then clearly there’s a problem.
Vladimir Putin himself said back in 2017 that whoever controls AI controls the world. We are facing a dystopian future where every aspect of our lives are controlled and monitored. Human beings thought they could control AI but it’s too late for that. AI has evolved beyond the control of human beings.
