im disabled and do art. My disability is caused by a chronic illness that impares my ability to think and concentrate, as well and limiting my physical movement. So it actually does limit my ability to make art in any way. My limitation isn't soo much in moving my limbs to create something, but in the act of thinking of what i want to create and how to convert that into the real world. The last time i did any art was a very small watercolour of a simple flower. I had to go lay down for several hours afterwards because focusing on it put soo much stress on my brain and drained my energy. Because of that, i have actually commissioned other artists to draw pictures for me that are too big or complex for me to ever even attempt. And they are much better than me technically, too. That doesn't make me a skilled artist. I see AI as exactly the same as commissioning an artist. The only difference is the artists responsible for the final product aren't getting paid Even though, art is very difficult and exhausting for me, no matter what medium i use. I still do it, in small amounts, when i can. Because i like being creative and making things. I have tried AI image generators, and images can happen, but they are just soo meh. They aren't something i created, and they don't look as good as the art i have commissioned from real artists. So what's the point? And trying to think of ways to manipulate prompts into getting the result i want is tiring in its own right too. So It's not even that much easier. Its easier to generate something. But to make it look like in my head? Still difficult and exhausting P.S. in case you were wondering, writing this comment took about 20 minutes and more effort than most people would ever dream of putting in. But i also like expressing myself through writing. So i did it anyway
