You'd have to be an idiot to think that we should do anything beyond develop AI as fast as humanly possible. If we don't develop AI, China will, and they will take taiwan and invade the world. If we get there first we can stop them. I don't want china to be the only country with nukes, I don't wan them to be the only country with the best AI systems.
