From what I've come to understand even automatic soap dispensers, and hand dried sensors, have issues with dark skin tones. Why on earth would detectives believe that facial recognition would be more accurate!? Even human eye witnesses are fallible. But the human eyes can tell a big weight difference of forty pounds.
