Did anyone really look at the two photos? The license photo is that of a slightly more oval and longer face individual, the mouth and nose profile is clearly different and even the eyebrows are spaced slightly different. Whereas the gentleman who was arrested had a flat face profile which was shorter in length and more rounded, with nose and lips not as full as the license photo. His skin tone looked a little lighter and even the eyebrows were space differently. There are differences that that anyone with a brain especially law enforcement should have been able to decipher.
Then there is the matter of him being in another location at the time of the crime. Video footage, witnesses at the check cashing facility and receipts should have been scrutinized by the cops and the judicial system to secure the young man's release immediately after he indicated to the cops where he was at the time of the crime. He had a legit alibi which should have been properly investigated. This is where they should have used facial recognition.
