I think they're forgetting one thing. This technology is very expensive, therefore it might be a reality for developed countries but the rest of the world where the vast majority of us live will not be as significantly impacted. Self driving cars to replace all taxis? Do we have any idea what an immense investment that would have to be? I dont see it happening to the scale they imagine it will unless that is somehow addressed.
