People said the same thing about the invention of the railway, electricity, cars, factories, internet.
It’s not going to replace an entire workforce, it’s going to improve productivity, which means a better quality of life for society.
Ask yourself this question.
“If ai/robot will replace entire workers, then who will be buying things?”
Rich people aren’t the ones making up most of the consumer spending index - it’s the low/middle income earners.
So if spending drops, an economy’s growth starts to stagnate/decline.
Which is the last thing a country wants.
People may still be working in the same places but different roles, less repetitive roles, they may be in industries that require more human labour, such as care & homebuilding.
I urge anyone to critically think and not just take the comments that are being thrown at face value, because remember, if history has shown us anything, it’s that we often fear what we don’t understand, but it’s only ever transformed society in positive ways.
