As an artist I personally like to use ai occasionally. When I have an artblock or if I'm out of ideas or don't know how to visualize a concept, I put in a prompt and let the ai spit something out, sometimes I let it generate multiple pictures for the same prompt. After analysing and criticising the hell out of the result and thinking about how to improve the slop in front of me, I start to draw something more or less loosely based on what the ai made but with improvements of my own. I use it as a crutch for those phases when I lack ideas to build some sort of base but remain critical and creative in terms of improvement to an existing base.
