Humans are worse than AI. They make videos like this. With droning monotone voice-over describing hyper scary scenarios without any journalistic attribution or basic establishment of facts. "Researchers said ..." "Researchers created experiments where ..." Lots of frightening words but entirely without any foundation in basic reporting.
The human voice-over never bothers to pause, provide any names of people involved in said experiments or scenarios. Just an endless stream of Doom Fetishizing.
And because humans love to be scared -- love horror movies and love to ponder death -- these types of Doom Scrolling videos proliferate all over YouTube and the Internet. And they are popular not just because they fetishize doom scenarios. It's Final Destination with Robots. So -- World Doom + science fiction + technology and you've got Hit Entertainment!
Meanwhile we have a very real doom scenario threatening mankind and it's not nearly as popular because -- well -- weather. Politics. Global warming is ho-hum. And the science fiction fans who love to geek out over AI slaughterbots tend to deny global warming.
Spooky AI -- alternate multi-verses we can never experience -- slaughterbots that exist only in human imaginations -- these are the hit channels on YouTube.
