Raw LLM Responses

This video has finally convinced me to cancel my subscription to midjourney. As much as I love the technology and have personally seen it influence my art in very positive ways, I feel like I now know way to much to justify using it any further. I've been overwhelmed with the ethical issues of AI for weeks now and have read so many posts and have watched so many videos on the issue. Until the the ethical problems are addressed and these companies start to take them more seriously, I'm opting to vote with my wallet and not support them anymore. Sam, it was honestly very heartbreaking to see how people have decided to harass you and use the technology to steal your identity as artist. People who chose to use AI in this way should be banned from using it. Companies who manage them like midjourney should not allow these bad actors to ever use their product for such disgusting purposes. I suppose there's no way to totally block these kinds of people from using the technology, but I personally would like to see these issues taken more seriously. Until then, i'm not interested in it anymore. It's a real shame. I truly believe AI can have huge positive impact in the artistic world, but not like this. There needs to be a higher sense of ethics, otherwise AI can do some huge damage if bad actors are not brought to justice.
