i feel like one of the most important factors that sometimes gets unintentonally skipped in these discussions, is the environmental reprecussions generative AI uses. sure, it does have some helpful tools and uses, but the mere thought of this much energy and water getting consumed for someone to make one of these "AI slop" videos, is enough to give me the ick. to me it's like brushing your teeth and letting the water running for 3 minutes but pumped up x100. at least some "human slop" videos are just random people doing random shit for content. not to say wasting glass bottles filled with strange red iquids getting pushed down the stairs isn't inherently wasteful but again, compared to the waste of recources AI uses it's next to nothing. at least glass is recycleable. clean water is not. this comment is absolutely not hate to the video because i understand you wanted to touch on the more human side of the whole "AI art" discource (and which i wholeheartedly agreed with every word) i just thing the environmental impact just kind of,,,, pushes everything under it on the scale. i mean, imagine not only creating AI slop but by doing it you ACTIVELY contribute to the decline of fresh water, emptying towns and more dreadful AI data centers getting built all over the world just because a bunch of peple keep generating images of their AI "wives/husbands" and spend 24/7 speaking to them through grok or chatgpt ?? yikes. the whole thing is dystopian at best. anyways, great video !
