Hello, my name is Ajax and I am a recently disabled artist. I had brain surgery about 3 months ago to remove a tumour that was growing in my head. as grateful as I am to be alive, this has left me with many visual problems. most notably being flashy vision and difficulty with focus. This has made it very hard for me to create art and has been an extremely difficult situation. and yet, I would never EVER in a million years consider ai as a way to accommodate that. The reason I love creating is because it’s an outlet for everything. Every emotion, every thought, every fear. It’s an outlet that can help with processing this horribly terrifying time in my life. It’s about the process of creating, trial and error, and the joy I experience once something I’ve worked so hard on is completed. Ai could never EVER replicate this. It is not creative, it has no emotions to pull from, and it is the most soulless dystopian concept I could possibly imagine. it is not “more accessible”. People are hiding behind that to make it seem like a better thing than it is. I AM DISABLED. I WOULD RATHER DIE THAN HAVE AI GENERATE MY ART FOR ME. AI WILL NEVER REPLACE HUMAN CREATIVITY.
