Super intelligence will bring longevity escape velocity. I need to live long enough to reach LEV (and for it to become affordable), AI safety will slow down super intelligence, reducing my ( a poor nobody) chances of reaching LEV. Therefore, shouldn't I take my chances on fast super intelligence rather than slow and safe for everybody after me?
Lets just hope that super intelligence will see humans as a unique part of the genetically diverse ecosystem and worth preserving like octopi and elephants.
