Very nihilistic. What makes this guy think that you can't combine super intelligence with robotics to make far superior plumbers? Learn to code. I've got loads of mates doing it. Ai isn't doing shit for them besides helping them code much like how a wrench doesn't replace a plumber, ai doesn't replace coders. Coding has just stopped in boom because it was falsly gorged on adventure capital. During lockdown, many people were bored, and some decided to code. The combination meant that there was a lot of money and a lot of coders. And when the money ran dry (as instagram tech vloggers sipping lattes and doing their hair instead of working), the codering jobs did too. Every day, i get about 20 different job notifications for my area of coding. With big salaries. Coding wasn't ever easy. The last couple of years made people believe that if you start coding, someone will hire you. No. You need to get good. You need to sell yourself. You need to endure rejection. These are not low-level jobs anymore where you can just mull around in beautiful offices while getting paid handsomly. Do you think if you learn to plumb, the jobs will fall from the sky? No. Other, experienced, plumbers are gonna be taking your clients and satisfying them the way your girlfriend wishes you would. Coding isn't dead. It's just back where it should be. A prestigious and difficult job, requiring hard work, talent, and intelligence.
