I think I understand the reasoning behind AI "artists" mentality, and it's rooted in dishonesty with their own nature. I understand the appeal. I'm not a good artist either, and I would like to be good, but more in a "wish I were good at it naturally" way and that's because I lack the artist drive to just *make art*. I have too much of a utilitarian mentality when it comes to art, in that I will only want to make art if it is for some purpose, like a game development task or something. I don't practice art because I rarely feel the need to have it, and so I don't get skilled at it and am an amateur as a result. AI would seem like a way to still get "high quality" art without needing the skill or work hours for it if it didn't look terrible and wasn't trained on stolen work. AI prompters fail to be honest with themselves that they, too, simply lack the drive of an artist. All of the arguments in this video are just people coping and making up excuses for their lack of drive to make art. I say to these people to just own up to what you are, or rather what you aren't. You're not an artist, and I urge you to find for yourself what you really are. I believe everyone has a drive, you need to find yours.
