...Also known as "The Silicon Valley of the East". It is in northern Virginia about 20 miles west of the Washington, D. C. Capital Beltway, north of Dulles Intl Airport. This is Ashburn, VA in beautiful Loudoun County. Ashburn used to be one of the best kept secrets to live in. It was a great place to live and raise a family. It is within horse, farming, and wine country in Northern VA. I worked for a major credit card processing facility there that built a new start-of-art data center there. Ashburn has now become a vibrant, heavily populated community "ruined" by this uncontrolled expansion. I lived there for 14 years. Though I have great memories from there, and almost moved back a few of years ago, I realized it's no longer the quiet, bucolic, rolling hills countryside, less than an hour from the Shanendoah Valley, that it used to be. Way too much crowded, noisey, hustle and bustle now. 🙁
