I'm a disabled artist. Not professionally but I have been creating art since I was a teen just for the joy of it. I got nerve issues thanks to a disease in my spine. It causes a lot of issues but the main issues from a creating point of view is that my spine always hurts so sitting long periods can suck. My hands always shake and can get random pains, and my brain tires faster since it works over time trying to get my nerves to behave. I have found what helps me was switching from more traditional art to digital art. The undo button is a god send. Plus many art programs have a line stabilizer option you can adjust as needed. I bought a screen protector for my artist tablet that makes it feel more like drawing on paper so the switch isn't as bad. I take breaks when I need to and learned to take my time. I pay attention to what my body tells me and act accordingly. Does it get annoying I can't always just do something? Yes. All the time. But at the end I still do it. Because at the end it's the act of creating I love. Not the instant gratification. I don't need AI to slap together some pretty pictures and say here ya go. I need to make something myself. For myself. And for anyone who might wanna see. But me first. It keeps my mind happy. My soul happy. Also anyone who says AI is inevitable is wrong. Creation is. For the first human kind did when they had free time was draw on the walls. Sing songs. Tell stories. And it'll be the last thing we do to. It's part of being human.
