Scientists coming out like this isn't new, it happens every time the project needs funding.... They really haven't come as far as they claim and are always on the verge of a breakthrough, and basically give us 2% of what was promised. We probably won't see AI actually work on its own or think for itself in our lifetimes with probability being what it is. The real bitch of all of this, is the AI bubble that these dickheads have created from nothing and have heavily lobbied to make sure the taxpayers bail them out after it busts... It's in the trillions.
