There is a lot of cope going on here. AI and AI software engineering are working hand in hand. One inspires the other. There is no better test available, than the test of whether AI can replicate human software engineers. You could argue that it is the only metric that matters. There will come a day when AI WILL replace human software developers. It might not be today, but it is coming.
