"Humans Need Not Apply" by CGP Grey was the reality shock I needed to realize that automation wasn't meant to make our lives easier, and I saw that video over a decade ago!
It still holds up today and is probably my single favorite deconstruction of the "utopian automated future" trope. Our society isn't structured to _allow_ utopia to happen without _significant_ changes.
