I'm an artist that uses ai and have found it was really helpful actually getting me back into art... I went into a couple year lull I couldn't seem to pull myself out of but being able to see ideas generated quickly helped me work past depression and be motivated to start again.... that said the term "ai artist" is absurd lol. I use ai to have pose references and to work out concepts and I find it a huge help in the beginning of an animation or painting and especially with seeing colors to use for a piece, color theory was never anything I was super educated about. but ai has helped me learn more about it. Anyone that generates something from an image generator and attempts to call themselves the artist of it is crazy, I didn't realize that was happening.
