First of all, I think you guys are overreacting,
Second, it's the y's company's choice whether or not if they want to hire you or not, and even if it is true, you can always open a freelancer site so in case if you ever want to make some income,
Three, AI can be helpful when it comes to whether that be finishing the work and you can touch it up later or just basically help gives better reference images in case if you are struggling, or the amazing fact, using AI impainting so that way if you mess up something, you can just easily repair it without spending way too much time
