The "utopia" is to dismiss workers for automated systems and robots, "so the workers could pursue more fulfilling careers and improve their lives... ", this is the corporate nonsense, it's all about damn greed. Freight companies are paying low wages and making bad conditions driver jobs, that's the real problem, all about to maximize profits. What is going to happen to drivers and other workers because of too much automation/ AI ? Who's going to support them ? Companies are going to be high taxed to subsidize the workers they fire? Not at all and this could end with millions more people unemployed and extreme poverty, a real dystopia. The ultra rich elites are not going to save the workers. This is a mass robbery on the american middle class that could go extint and the current economy system will collapse, and a whole chain of corporations and financial based on consumers (unable to buy) will crash. Is the government going to allow this economic and social disaster? Some in gov cannot continue being sold-outs to the corporate forever.
