Neither here nor there but I'm in uni for the tech industry and not loving all these AI bros huffing their own farts about it :/// I don't even think any of these AI should count as AI, using GPT as an example, the had been trying to push a whole new term for AI, "artificial general intelligence," because they wanted to forcibly distinguish themselves from the term "AI" bc ????? And all these "AI art" developers or whatever trying to sell me on use CASES and not actual uses have proven from the get go, to me at least, that this is a non-product. And let's go back to that "artificial general intelligence" thing for a second, are you telling me that consuming terabytes of literature is going to produce self awareness? What do we want that for anyway??? Do these people not know that within literature there's tons of stories where the moral of the story is "humanity IS going to be shitty to technology", with even the origin of the word "robot" essentially being "slave", like...
