One thing you might be missing in all this is that these AI that are designed to replace us, is that they are trained on the data made BY US, and that data was 99 percent of the time taken without conscent, artists such as writers, actors, comic artists, cartoonists, have been ringing the alarm bells on this for YEARS, and even with multiple lawsuits we still haven’t gotten that far. There needs not be legislation against automation itself, but how it simply steals from us our already existing work, while simultaneously stealing our work using that data against us. Please, STOP them from taking the data, because without it, their business models don’t work. If they had to ask permission first, and not after, and had to PAY for our work, these AI models would have been nowhere near as powerfull as they are now.
