Despite the depth of this conversation, it's still missing the point that the main risk is bad faith humans, like governments and associated agencies, using AI against its own people. AI in the hands of increasingly authoritarian leaders is a terrifying prospect - the surveillance and control aspects are essentially limitless.... And we have little way of fighting back.
