This is the running up to the Matrix as seen in Animatrix. AI / robots are so good, humanity simply depends on them while still acting as the ultimate masters. Humanity mistreats the AI / robots till the point when the AI has to call it: destroy humanity or be destroyed / enslaved forever by ungrateful "masters". Guess who freaking won over the ashes?
