@MisterMixxy "AI Fanboy?" Like what, do you think I would rather see AI created art than human created art? Obviously not, but if there is some idiot that does, they should be allowed to do that. The fact is, however, that only children like stuff created by AI and even then it is only extremely young children. Any adult human prefers human created art and it will always be that way, AI is more of a tool for personal enjoyment that some scammers MIGHT gain some success with off of idiots. But that is not taking away from the same group of people that like real art, or preventing anyone from creating art. If you are somehow disgusted that I like AI and am willing to defend it, grow up. It is the culmination of 2000 years of human progress, an achievement of mathematics, computing, and logistics. Yeah I like computers, and I like cutting edge computing, and I like tools that make things more accessible to disabled people like myself. I don't gatekeep being intelligent or using computers like people gatekeep the arts. What was the first thing coders taught AI to do? Code, and help them code. It hasn't replaced coders, and it probably never will because it can't stop people from doing what they want to do and people like to code for fun. If people like to have AI draw for them, I don't see why people are acting like it's the end of the world or like it's going to make them poor or something. People could always steal your identity, steal your art, steal your ideas, and get rich off the back of your work. The only difference with AI is the end goal of it is that no one will have to work or worry about money and can do whatever they want. People complaining about AI doing this stuff instead of doing their chores don't realize how integrating AI with reality is the hardest part, especially when it is constantly having its vision learning sabotaged by people trying to trick it using alpha channels or introducing crap into their images. When we have self driving cars, do you want it to hit you because it couldn't tell that you were a person? Or when they are doing surgery do you want it to have trouble determining how many fingers you are supposed to have? These are extreme examples, but my point is, it's just ridiculous and the next level of Boomerism, hating new technology because you don't understand and worrying about stupid hypothetical questions instead of dealing with reality. Like who even cares if people can make a living off creating AI art? Really though, are you arguing those people don't deserve to have food and a place to live just because they aren't as talented or don't have as much to offer? But when it comes to children of the rich they can do whatever they want with their life because they held onto their generational wealth instead of bringing the rest of society up with them out of poverty. What then, is the end goal of this? To make sure that people can't make a living off of AI? Or to make sure that only the artists can get rich off their art? I It's never about having enough, it's about having it all. People aren't fighting to survive, or protect their livelihood, they are fighting to protect their ability to do whatever they want when they want because they can generate considerably more wealth with their talents than a normal person can propping up the rest of society on their hard working backs. Let's be real, does an artist provide more to society than a plumber? Or a builder? Or a farmer? Does someone who makes a living creating art and videos on YouTube sitting on their butt at home really deserve as much as the people working 18 hours a day to make sure everyone else is able to just survive at all? Do celebrities deserve to be so rich they can buy islands just because they are in movies and control the only means of creating new high quality movies? Do people deserve to be rich just because their parents were? If that's the case then do people deserve to be slaves just because their parents were? It's a ridiculous argument. The privatization and monopolization of ideas and the means of creating has ruined our planet. All AI does is make things a little more of an equal playing field. That's completely ignoring the implications of denying an entire race or species access to your artistic works just because they are different.
