The saddest yet funniest part is that people fighting against AI are also secretly training it to look out for what NOT to do if tagged properly. Poison all you like. The printing press is still coming. Forging a couple of I's that look like L's unfortunately will not stop the press from printing and simply doing what everyone else is doing but better. Sure you might slow people down. But we aren't helping. What we need is real creatives and law makers working together to ensure that the new tool can be used responsibly. Not simply making the tool less accessible to your average person. Gatekeeping someone's creative interests behind years of study is no more morally correct than forcing every single person to write in perfect cursive if they wish for their words to be heard. If you do not want your art to be eaten by AI to influence it's future work just like any other artists. Draw them personally and do not share them. Simply because people made art based on the Monalisa does not mean that the Monalisa has no value. In fact the idea that it influenced SO much media and art as time went on is a perfect example of humans simply taking what they like and making new things out of it. We should be working together as creatives to ensure that the future is bright for everyone. Including little Johnny who doesn't need to learn every technique that has ever been invented just to show off a cool idea he has. Do you think the pre-historic person who invented drawing stick figures with their fancy rock is rolling over in their grave right now? I do. Because they were doing that for fun and HOPED their friends and family would take the time to enjoy and think about the art. Maybe even make their own. Art is here to be shared. Creation is here for all.
