What is a closer and more realistic threat is AI being trained to do all the 3rd sector jobs, allowing employers to fire everyone (not realizing that their employees are another company's customers and vice-versa), and putting the economy to its knees.
In an emergency situation, you have to worry first about the most immediate, damaging, and likely-to-happen scenario.
