Judging by the amount of theft, isn't it reasonable for the largest retailer to be able to have good video of anyone entering and leaving in case they are stealing? Also, if you trespass someone, having an automated system that identifies the person so the store can call police is perfectly reasonable.
Retailers wouldn't spend money on security systems if it was a net negative cost.
