I use AI generated art as inspiration and, indeed, for "reference". AI's ability to hallucinate and freestyle - and to produce striking results in seconds - has opened whole universes of ideas that inspire my own thoughts.
Of course it has limitations - I would never post anything AI-generated and claim it was my own copyrightable work.
I consider the final output as a collaboration between myself and the machine - not really unlike using a musical instrument.
I'm not "mad" about anything, other than general ignorance.
