This is hard for Americans to understand, but if massively wealthy companies switch to AI and sack huge numbers of workers, to dramatically increase their wealth, then they will have to pay a tax to society to help support the people that THEY have chosen to impoverish!
Just like their decisions to shift manufacturing overseas obligates them to pay taxes to help support the people they have sacked!
If they don't there will be a huge increase in crime as people do "what they have to" to survive!
The Society has allowed the wealthy to flourish, they have built their wealth from exploiting the resources of the society, they have an obligation to pay back to the society as a whole!
History tells us that failure to fairly distribute the wealth generated by a society results in violent revolution and the destruction of the wealthy class!
This has happened repeatedly throughout history.
Failure to understand history and greed, leads to disaster!
