I think AI “artists” are just envious of us. Not even just of being able to put our thoughts onto paper (or on screen I guess if you do digital art), but we have a lot of passion for what we do, that and the process of making art is what makes it fulfilling for us. When they generate images with AI, they don’t experience the joy of the process or anything that we do so it’s empty for them. All they can do is get defensive and deny it and convince themselves that’s not the case, but I think it certainly is.
