Tbh, i dont care that AI as a tool is considered art. I care that its being compared to other pieces of art made in more labor intensive mediums.
Let this guy enter an AI art competition, and see if he can still win.
Its just dumb. Its like comparing art made with pen in 10 minutes to art made over the course of several weeks with all kinds of supplies. Its not comparable, and I guarantee that the second this guy is compared to other people using AI with the same level of detail, iteration, and care as a pencil and paper artists use, this guy will quickly be falling behind in the competition
