Raw LLM Responses

I feel strange about all this as a musician. I feel the music industry has been doing this for decades. My latest albums have trumpets, clarinet, harpsichord, bass guitar, and many other human instruments. They're all fake; I don't know how to play them, and I have no interest in playing them. If I didn't have these fake instruments, a few of my albums wouldn't even exist. I can't afford a grand piano! If I used some theoretical AI tool to make it sound more realistic, does that even make a philosophical difference? I've already outsourced that aspect of the creative process in the first place. I don't think my art isn't art though, I still put a lot of love into it. Is the musician hunched over a groovebox making a sick beat less human than a drummer? Is the person making hip-hop with samples just spewing derivative stolen slop? I've heard many sample based albums that blew my mind in ways a classical piece can't do. Could AI do that too? Musicians don't often get comments saying "Just pick up a violin, you hack!" when they use a fake instrument, but I imagine an entirely AI generated song would garner hate. There's a line there, and I don't know if we've figured out where that line is for generative AI; it'll be hard to find with emotions so high. Are AI in-betweens in animation crossing the line? How about AI singing (Vocaloid is already a thing)? I don't know. I don't think it's so clear cut though.
