The misconception is that you need to be a warm body to participate in a countries economy. If we create robots that are autonomous, like self preserving with it's own unique personality, it will desire to participate in our economy. The robot will work, it'll spend, and we'll become irrelevant because there's no reason for us to exist when there's an efficient subservient race.
They won't even need us to repair them because robots will do that too. Doctors are human car mechanics, robots will learn to fix themselves. Remember all this the next time you interact with AI.
