This is the absolute truth. The companies spearheading generative ai don't care about your creativity or your self-fulfillment. They just care about making money, that's why they don't care about plagerizing the work of thousands of artists. Ai bros, generative ai is not going to heal that part of you. You can look at what you create and not like and try again. This is what everyone who has worked on their art for years did over and over and over again for years. I spent several years too scared to draw regularly because I knew the chance of it coming out bad was hard. But I only started to get better when I started to accept that not being perfect was necessary. Accepting that I would make drawing that are not good or perfect is what allowed me to get better and gain confidence in my ability. Of course I'll get jealous of other artists who are years ahead in skill but ten times younger than me. That's ok. I can accept that it will still take me many more years to get to the level of skill that will make me happy. Though honestly that satisfaction may just be an illusion. But I don't have to wait to enjoy the process of creating. That's something anyone at any skill level can enjoy.
