These days, everyone wants a cushy desk job/stay-at-home work and those types of jobs are probably going to be the ones that are most replaceable by AI. No one wants to do the tough "hands-on" work anymore, and there is a shortage of workers in those positions, such as skilled trades and healthcare. Those types of jobs aren't going to be replaced by AI anytime soon, unless there's a big advance in robotics. So I think kids would be smart to go to a skilled trades school or get into healthcare. I could see AI replacing some health care work that doesn't require hands-on of patients, like pharmacy jobs, but most of the jobs will still be around. So a lot of the issue will not be that there is a lack of jobs, it will be that people are too lazy to do the jobs that are actually available.
