While I understand the perspective, I'll disagree on a particular notion. When I see art, I don't really think much about the artist... I think of the world. I think: "hey, what if (insert thing) was there?", I try to use my imagination to think of the origins of the world, where it's from, and what's going on. When I think an AI made it, it feels more freeing in a sense. The AI lacks thought, emotion, or anything that begins interpreted to the table, which to me, brings it up on me to do so. It allows me to do whatever I want with the work, absent of some author interpretation everyone will just agree with. It's like a big playground, I suppose. I do think AI art does remove the author's emotion aspect, which is why a lotta people don't like it, and I get it. I just don't think AI art should instantly be discredited.
