This is a perfect example of the fundamental misunderstanding people have about ChatGPT and similar models. They're not search engines. They're predictive text generators. The existence of the content within the response is not what it cares about - only that the response appears to "finish the prompt" reasonably well. Generated text MUST NOT be trusted at face value. At best, take its results and put it into a real search engine.
