Wouldn't curing cancer with AI be worth 100 billion?!? AI just giving us more cat videos. WTF. I work in AI and its not making thing easier either. The complexity and infrastructure needed to run an AI workforce is astronomical. People think AI is set it and forget it. It needs constant supervision, fine tuning, guard rails and administrative overhead. Sure get rid of customer service department but then you just created a whole new department that's just managing AI. Its really a paradox, Companies want to replace employees with AI then how are all the jobless people going to buy what they are producing at a higher rate now that AI is integrated?!?! Its the ultimate irony too. Everyone thinks Ai will wipe us out via Skynet or some doom and gloom apocalypse but what if its just bleeding us dry trying as we try to build this all mighty "artificial general intelligence". lol
