You can cherry pick examples where AI outputs a copyrighted work, but in the vast majority of cases the training data is transformed in the process. This all may change in the future, and nobody knows for sure how this will all end up in the courts, but at least for right now they really don't need your permission to scrape your data. It seems like the real reason people are upset/scared is because their passion that they poured thousands of hours into can be replaced by some unskilled idiot with a computer; the outrage over copyright feels like a huge red herring. Even if these companies are forced to use open-source data, the technology is still improving, and in a few years they'll be as good as they are now, if not better.
