I see both sides of this issue myself.
I have no problems with AI for small personal projects. For example, generating a basic image for a character for a tabletop game (such as DnD).
I DO have problems with using it purely for profit.
This applies to pretty much everything.
I saw an artist on X saying that AI should only replace jobs like customer service and other jobs that "nobody likes".
They deleted their tweet when I asked them why it's okay to replace my job but not theirs.
AI is a tool and should be used as such. It's there to make things easier, not to do them for you.
