I like your vids, it's why im here. So no offense, but you really don't know how ATS work 😅. HR Tech and recruitment seem out of your wheelhouse. I'm in HR Tech and Ppl Ops, much of what you're saying isn't accurate. I finally had to say something at 9:07. No ATS or HRIS in any way pulls your medical PII especially not your visits to a psychiatrist lol. And many "integrate" with a background checker. That is triggered upon hiring not screening as each background check costs $30-70. All it means is that when you are read to make an offer, most of time when you have made an offer, the applicant is automatically pushed to a criminal background check provider which they have to agree to before it's done. ATSs do have automatic rejection capabilities that can be set up by the recruiter. That’s been true for ovwr a decade. For instance, you can put that bilingual in Spanish is required for the role. You'll have many applicants that apply anyway. The application can ask you your Spanish fluency, answering anything less than Fluent can get you automatically rejected, and yes, receive a rejection notice within minutes. The case will be interested to see if it's standard legal practice or if it goes as deep as you're ruminating.
